Well a new week has arrived meaning that a post is in order.

There is news every day how bad our economy is and the great number of unemployed and other gloom and doom news which isn't the full truth. Yes, we have very high unemployment nationwide and in some areas it has surpassed 10%. But that isn't the whole story about unemployment and especially in the IT arena. Believe me, there are tons of IT jobs out there......for those who are qualified and are willing to be mobile.

IT and mobility today go hand in hand when it comes to many of the better paying positions. If a person is mobile and has decent qualifications then there is no reason they cannot find an IT positon within a short period of time. What I mean is that many of the tons of IT positions available right now are contract positions which span 3-18 months perhaps. Companies are not hiring for permanent IT positions as they were before everything went South. Tip #1: You need to expand your mobility to position yourself for more opportunities today.
